Cron Job #35

My Civic Duty

It's at this point, I must apologize to all of my readers out there. One day, while actually updating little bits and pieces of my web page, I renamed cron35.html to something else.

At least, that's what I thought I did. I used the UNIX (Official motto: "The operating system whose sole purpose in life is so that you can show off to your friends what a big computer geek you are.") command "rm" to rename my file, thinking in one of those brain fart moments kinda like when you walk into a room and then forget why the hell you walked in there in the first place, that this stood for "RenaMe". Of course, those of you who are Unix experts are probably giggling and spitting up drops of Mountain Dew onto your feet (Unix guys all like to work barefoot) because you know that "rm" really stand for "ReMove". Which is exactly what happened to Cron Job 35.

So I have to apologize, Cron Job 35 (all about getting rid of my old car and getting a lovely little Honda Civic) is gone for good. But on the bright side, it wasn't very good.

Aw.. who am I kidding -- it was the best one ever! I still crack up just thinking about it! Hahahahahahahahahaaa! Oh, man, too bad you'll never see it. Oh, well. That's life. Go read another column.
