Write to me!!

So, you want to send me mail, huh? Well, as it turns out, about every spammer on the planet has gotten hold of my email address. I get, literally, 100 mails a day from spammers. So in order to keep my inbox manageable, I've had to turn on some pretty strict email filtering.(1)

What this means is that if if you wanna make sure your email isn't automatically filtered to my "Probably spam" folder, send mail to me at todd@kerp.net with Big Head Todd as the subject line. Using that subject line will make sure the mail gets to me, and won't get accidentally deleted.

And that should do it! See? It's not that hard. So go ahead, send me email! I'd love to hear from you! Especially if you're writing to tell me about a great new way to increase the size of my gentials, because honestly, it's really hard to get that kind of information on the Internet.

(1) Technical info for the nerdy: I use procmail in conjunction with fgrep to weed out mails that are on my "known spammers list", keep all mails on my two whitelists (one of emails that I approve of, and another of domains that I approve of), and send the rest to a quarantine folder, that I quickly scan and delete on a regular basis. Some perl scripts allow me to easily update my two whitelists with little effort. And yes, I know there are commercial spam blockers out there for Outlook, but I still read my mail in Pine. I'm kinda old-school that way.
